Here's a description of the "Resume" feature: https://www.elevenforum.com/t/enable-or-disable-resume-app-from-device-and-continue-on-windows-11-pc.29671/
How do I permanently stop the "Resume" process from running when I start up my computer?
Exactly what the title says. It's a service I don't want or need, and I don't want it to run. I have looked for the entry in Startup Apps in Task Manager, it doesn't show up. I've tried turning it off in settings, it still runs. I have even tried editing the registry key, and IT STILL RUNS. I've exhausted the suggestions I could find online. I even put the CrossDeviceResume.exe file in the recycle bin. THAT stopped it, but Windows got mad because it couldn't find the executable, which means it has an auto-start SOMEWHERE. HOW DO I KILL THIS THING. I don't want to have to "End Task" every time I start up my laptop! (Edited to include screenshot)

2025-07-09T19:46:26.28+00:00 There is an answer in another thread on this,
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/3893319/what-is-this-resume-in-the-task-manager-which-is-c?forum=windows-all&referrer=answers and "Anonymous" says 'You can setup or disable that feature at Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Mobile devices ("Instantly access your mobile devices from your PC")' Mine was using ~200 MB. The onlly other devices on were a cell phone and a printer.
Sorry, I don't know if the above solution works, because I am already exhausted still trying to get things that worked on Windows 8 & 10 to work on Windows 11....
