Word document displays blue dots under each word in every sentence ....

This is a 'copy and paste' sample:

"there are multiple folders with the same contents duplicated.  Could some of these links actually be shortcuts that we can eliminate? "

Except that, with this "copy and paste" example of the particular sample, the blue dots do not reappear.

I have checked the formatting of the document pages several ways and cannot find the solution to eliminate the blue dots under every word and space in this 20 page, 7,576 word document.

    If you right-click a word with these underlines, do you see a suggestion regarding formatting or maybe grammar on the right-click (context) menu? In that case, there are some options you may want to consider at File > Options > Advanced and at File > Options > Proofing. See the screen shot below.
