I am experiencing a problem running the command prompt for corrupted files SFC/scannow. It does not run at all after clicking enter. What could be the problem?

In that case, because that process failed, those commands are also failing and your system seems to be very corrupt, I think the best option is to perform an in-place repair with the Windows 11 ISO.

Please follow the steps, this is then not like re-installing Windows, it is just like an update and your personal files, settings and installed software will not be affected.

    Click this link:

    https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11

to download the Windows 11 ISO

When the ISO file completes downloading

    Disconnect from the Internet

Disconnect all external devices with the exception of a mouse or keyboard.

Temporarily disable any 3rd party Anti-virus you may have installed

Then, in Windows File Explorer, double click the ISO and then run Setup.exe and select the Install option.

Very Important - ensure you select the option to keep your files and apps.

If you are experiencing problems running that sfc command, then try running this command first, then when that completes, run the sfc command again.

    dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

If that does not resolve the problem, what problems are you experiencing with Windows 11 that you need to run the sfc command.

Thank you for that information, open the Settings App.

    Go to System - Recovery.

Click the 'Reinstall Now' button in the 'Fix problems with Windows Updates 'section and wait for that process to complete.

How long has that process been stuck on 81%, and are you inside Windows now or did your system reboot and is the update installing on a black screen.
