After the most recent Word update, the hyperlinks show up as XML code

After the most recent Office365 update, all the hyperlinks in a document are now displayed as XML code (e.g., {HYPERLINK "https://...."} not as links. Please provide a solution.

    Your seeing a field code. To change the display back to showing the field results, press Ctrl + A to select all content, then press Alt + F9 to toggle the display

     - and on its left-hand side click on:-

     

    Advanced

     

     - then on the right hand side scroll down to the section called:-

     

    Show document content

     

     - and then remove the tick from the field called:-

     

    Show field codes instead of their values

     

     - so that that field’s blank then click:-

     

    OK

     

    That’s it!
