Hi, I'm Stara, I’m sorry you’re running into that. Unfortunately there isn’t a folder-level “orientation” switch, but you can rotate the images themselves in just a few clicks:
- Which version of Windows are you on? And roughly how many photos do you need to flip?
- On Windows 10/11, open File Explorer and navigate to your folder.
- Select one or more images.
- On the Home tab, click Rotate right (or Rotate left) – each click turns them 90° More info here https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/edit-photos-and-videos-in-windows-a3a6e711-1b70-250a-93fa-ef99048a2c86
- If you’d rather use the built-in Photos app:
- Double-click an image to open it in Photos, click the Rotate icon until it’s landscape, then save.
If you have dozens (or hundreds) of files and would like to make it in bulk, try this:
Quick GUI method (no scripting):
In File Explorer, open your folder.
Select all the portraits you need to flip.
- Right click and click Rotate right or Rotate left each click turns every selected image 90°
Let me know if you need further assistance.
