Johnny_55 has give one possible workaround at the beginning of page 2 in this thread.
From Microsoft we can expect new CU in next Patch Tuesday at 13th of April and hopefully this issue is fixed for those who are affected by that update error.

Still, this problem is Not Fixed !!!
I got around this by doing an in-place upgrade with current official ISO from RP branch 19043.867.
WU took it to 19043.906. Last time I checked, Beta was using 19043.844 official ISO.
This is not the first time MS has used the same kb# for a CU in Insider channels. Not that it happens often, but it does occur with a higher resulting build extension #. The reasoning for this, I have no idea why.

As was stated on Page 1 of this thread by Pauli (with a link)
there is an issue with the update that is being investigated.
I see I'm not the only one with this issue, thanks for getting MS involved
hopefully they will keep their word and issue a patch in April
Thanks Pauli for pointing OP to other thread.
To resolve, you will have to go back to previous version prior to .899 for the CU to install. Hopefully MS will correct this in April Patch Tuesday if we can even get them to admit there is an issue coming from .899
