Temporary fix for Microsoft games. Before opening a game go to Settings _ Apps_ Xbox Gamebar _ advanced and leave it open. I am opening Solitaire and of course it freezes, now push Alt Tab this will move you to Settings then push Tab until you get to Terminate and push Enter. This closes the Gamebar and you can play.
Xbox Game Bar
- **We fixed an issue from the previous build where when Xbox Game Bar was launched from Start or via the Windows key + G when using a text editor, the computer might appear unresponsive.**
- Build 21292. I've NEVER had this problem, but NOW when launching Microsoft Solitaire The Xbox Game Bar now launches midscreen and clicking on anything does not work. Even doing a Ctrl Alt Delete to pull up Task Manager to end Task, it will pull up but unable to click on End Now.
- Have to do a Ctrl Alt Delete and then restart my computer.
- Sorry I have no pics of this cause I can't get to screen snip since my computer is completely stalled until I restart. Please fix this !

I have precisely the same problem with my 32 bit 21292.
If you will post your link I can add to it.

Davy
In the absence of a link from Kirbster1 here is my FBH link.
Thanks for the Feedback link Davy.
I had the same issue this AM and had never
had it before.
This was on XBox Game Bar v. 5.521.1121.0
which updated in the MS Store after the build.
Will add to your FB.

2021-01-15T16:28:46+00:00 Thanks CK. When I started my 32 bit PC this morning and opened my first window the Game Bar opened with it ( although yesterday I had removed it with PowerShell. ) I have removed it again as I do not require it.
My Game bar attempted to update also but I cancelled it.
Davy.

CrazyKats 12,190 Reputation points Volunteer Moderator2021-01-15T20:41:39+00:00 This is now listed as a Known Issue:
- ADDED 1/15: We are investigating reports that Xbox Game Bar launches on their PC without pressing WIN + G.
- ADDED 1/15: We are continuing to investigate reports that when Xbox Game Bar is launched (like when pressing WIN + G), the PC might appear unresponsive.
- No longer a fixed issue.

My scenario, I play games using Facebook
Gameroom. When I start the Gameroom up pops
XBox Gamebar.
Was suggested 2 solutions:
Use WIN+G several times and it will either close
the XBox Game Bar or it will open Task Manager
and then End Task on GameBar.exe.
If you aren't an XBox gamer, then go into Settings,
Gaming and Turn Off GameBar.
