  • **We fixed an issue from the previous build where when Xbox Game Bar was launched from Start or via the Windows key + G when using a text editor, the computer might appear unresponsive.**
  • Build 21292. I've NEVER had this problem, but NOW when launching Microsoft Solitaire The Xbox Game Bar now launches midscreen and clicking on anything does not work. Even doing a Ctrl Alt Delete to pull up Task Manager to end Task, it will pull up but unable to click on End Now.
  • Have to do a Ctrl Alt Delete and then restart my computer.
  • Sorry I have no pics of this cause I can't get to screen snip since my computer is completely stalled until I restart. Please fix this !

    Thank you both for that. I had not reread the blog for 21292.1010.

    Game Bar turned off thanks.

    Got the problem once today with build 21292.1000, the Xbox bar opened by itself, had to restart the PC to get out of the unresponsive state.

    Then went to the store and updated Xbox bar,  the bug seems to be gone now, I open the Xbox bar with Win+G and it opens correctly, then another click anywhere on the screen turns it off.

    Edit:

    Same sequence of events on a second machine on 1/16/2021.

    After a forced restart and updating Xbox bar from MS store could not repeat the problem again.

    I have the same problem, but if I open the xbox bar first before starting game, it will work.

    Select Win + G and then hit the ESC key and the game bar will exit.

    @EddieL [MSFT],

    Got the problem again today 1/20/2021 with build 21292.1010.

    The Xbox bar opened on its own and the PC became unresponsive.

    Had to force a restart to get out of the stuck condition.

    After the restart everything seemed to be back to normal.

    Had this issue once before, but then it did no happen again for a few days till this morning.
