Since updating to build 25387 I get this message when I first try to sign-in (see screenshot). If I wait then the PIN is accepted without a problem and all is well. Next time I start the virtual machine I get the same message.
Is there anything I can do apart from a Reset or clean install?
just for info I don't have failed attempts to sign-in or repeated shutdowns. (not sure about the topic I have selected)

Hi neilpzz,
Your virtual machine is running on which software?
I have mine on Hyper-V and it only works using PW.
Hi. I've always used VirtualBox and never had a problem like this previously. I used it for Windows 10 Insider, then the upgrade to Windows 11 Insider.
Always used a PIN for the Insider builds (when it was introduced) and it just seems to have happened since the introduction of the Canary build, I think. I updated to the latest build 25393.1, using the ISO this evening after waiting for 2 hours to be able to sign-in. All was working after the update (no problem signing in) but after using it for around half an hour I shutdown the VM normally, when I started it again and tried to sign-in the message appeared as per my original screenshot.
Okay I'll try that. I'll leave it until tomorrow now as I'll have to wait 2 hours with the VM powered up to be able to get in to change the setting.
I've changed the PIN to a password and it seems okay at the moment. I've not had much time so I'll check that setting later.
Thanks for the suggestion.
