Hello,

I'm on Windows 11 Insider Preview build 23585 and Dev Home Preview 0.601.297.0.

I follow the wizard and create a VHDX with GPT partition table.

Then I reach this part of the process:

The only available option is Cancel button.

What is going on?

    Alright

Follow the below steps to format a drive with ReFS:

    1. Open Registry Editor (regedit.exe).
    2. Navigate to: *HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control*
    3. Create a new key under Control: MiniNT
    4. Under this key, create a DWORD32 (32 bit) value.
    5. Now type AllowRefsFormatOverNonmirrorVolume (as the value name) and set the value to 1.
    6. Close Registry Editor and restart the system.
    7. Open Admin Command Prompt and type "format z: /u /fs:refs /i:enable". This will format your Z: drive with ReFS.

If you are not getting the Format option (in your screenshot), file a Feedback on Feedback Hub

    Problem with Method 1:

Disk Management creates NTFS volumes not ReFS which is the whole point of Dev Drive.

    Problem with Method 2:

There's no drive letter at this stage. The drive letter is chosen where the format button is missing (my screenshot).
