Troubleshooting website display or functionality issues in Edge on Windows 10
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Starting this morning, every time I close Edge and reopen it, it doesn't remember any of my login so I have to login every time to every website.
I confirmed my setting is set to NOT clear cookies when I close my browser and it has always been this way. I have never had this issue until this morning.
A features update was installed this morning and that's when this problem started. Is there a bug with this update? I'm running Windows 10 and Edge Version 86.0.622.38. As you can imagine, it is quite annoying having to login to every time to every website.
Update-There must be a bug because other people on Reddit are starting to report the same issue.

Hi folks,
The original topic of this thread (Microsoft Edge not remembering logins) has been resolved. Make sure you've updated to the latest version of Edge to get the fix! I'm locking this thread as it is becoming difficult to moderate and troubleshoot individual issues, and this thread has turned in to a catch-all for all password issues.
If you are still seeing issues with Edge not remembering passwords and all other programs are remembering your logins as expected, please start a new thread so we can help you individually.
If you are seeing system-wide issues with passwords being saved:
• Check your Windows version to confirm if you are on Build 19041.173 or later
• If yes, reference this troubleshooting document Outlook and other apps won't remember password after Windows Updates - Outlook (microsoft.com) Note that this is a workaround until this Windows issue is patched.

I ran across the exact same issue yesterday and was pulling my hair out trying to figure it out. After messing with it for about six hours, I took drastic measures. I went into control panel and uninstalled Edge Chromium that took me back to Edge Legacy. After doing that I restarted my computer, then let Windows Update reinstall Edge Chromium and rebooted as per the request. After reboot, everything was back to normal, including my log in information. Every site that used a password was working normally. This morning everything was just great!
Hello, why do I need to create another profile? It seems like there is a bug with the latest update as it started happening after the update. I'm running version 86.0.622.38. There must be a bug because other people on Reddit are starting to report the same issue.
I THINK Edge updated a day or 2 ago and now I get logged out of every single website I go to, ALL my forums, FaceBook, EVGA.com Guru3D ALL of them, NONE of them will keep me logged in whenever I close the browser.
I have cleared the cache blah blah, set the blocker control to basic yada yada, nothing seems to fix it.
any ideas??
Version 2004 (OS Build 19041.508)
Edge Version 86.0.622.38 (Official build) (64-bit)
Thanks for any help

You can go back to Edge Legacy if you go into "Control Panel", "uninstall a program", and uninstall Microsoft Edge. It will bring you back to Edge Legacy. After you uninstall it, reinstall it, all will be fixed! Windows Update will do it for you if you check for updates. The download that broke Edge won't be reinstalled.
I tried this method. I wasn't able to get Chromium Edge to appear in Windows Update after the uninstall but I installed it manually. Sites did start remembering my logins but as soon as I started entering my settings, site logins were forgotten again after each close of the browser. In my case, I think I traced it down to a setting in Choose What To Clear Each Time I Close The Browser...which is under Privacy, Search and Services - "Hosted App Data", which shows 1 app: Microsoft Store. When I choose to clear that each time the browser closes, I lose my login info. If I leave that off (not to clear), I retain my site logins. Can anyone else try that setting and report back their findings? Just changing this setting "may" work without the uninstall.
