Feature:Online Threat Prevention msedge.exe attempted to establish a connection relying on an expired certificate to extensionwebstorebase.edgesv.net. We blocked the connection to keep your data safe since websites must renew their certificates with a certification authority to stay current, and outdated security certificates represent a risk. The certificate has expired.

If you are sure the certificate is still valid, check the system date on the computer from which you are testing.

This is a known issue. The URL in question is no longer in use, so it doesn't need a certificate. It will be removed in a future update to Edge. There are no security implications, and the warning can safely be ignored.

Thanks. I'll just ignore for now - hopefully this can get resolved/removed soon.

So now it's January 29 2022 and the alert is still shown. This does not really promote the necessary security awareness among us users

And now it's February 6, and I just installed BitDefender and I'm getting the warning constantly.

My security application (Bitdefender Total Security) shows an alert when I start MS Edge.
