Microsoft Edge 102.0.1245.30 PDF printing broken - reports from German users

I'm receiving reports from German users claiming a broken PDF printing feature after updating to Microsoft Edge 102.0.1245.30.

I've summarized it within blog posts:

German Microsoft Edge 102.0.1245.30 erzeugt Fehler beim PDF-Drucken
English Microsoft Edge 102.0.1245.30 has issues with PDF printing

Downgrade to Edge 101 fixes this issue. And there is a possibility to use a GPO (Print via system print dialog box may not be set) as a workaround, till it's fixed.

Addendum: It seems that Microsofts developers are aware of the issue - see the following posts.

Microsoft Edge | Read PDFs | Windows 10

I want to let everyone know that we released version 102.0.1245.41, which solves this PDF printing with the System Print dialog problem. You can check what version you are currently running and manually update to version 102.0.1245.41 if you are still on an older version of Microsoft Edge.

    1. In Microsoft Edge, click on the three dots menu button.
    2. Go to Help and feedback.
    3. Click on About Microsoft Edge.

Right. Another channel that could be used for this purpose is the Feedback Hub within Windows itself.

Thx, the post here isn't primary to receive help - I guess the adminstrators within my blog readership are able to test. Currently I'm using this thread as a honeypot to find out, if more people are affected and how to reproduce the issue.

BTW: I received now another feedback of a victim on twitter.

Hi, my name is Anderson Souza, I hope I can help you with your issue.

I use Edge in a language other than German and everything seems ok with the print to PDF, in the same link you indicated at least one user reported that everything is ok too, so maybe it's not a general problem with the German version.

So it would be good to investigate if all these systems also have the latest Windows updates applied, it would also be good to open the Microsoft Store library and check if everything is up to date too.

Once that's done, if the problem persists, I usually recommend enabling a clean boot of Windows to see if third-party apps are causing the problem.
