Out of Memory error

Question

Hi , I am facing a problem , My laptop specs are 24gb ddr4 ram , ryzen 7 4800h. Though having plenty of memory edge after using 2400mb of ram or after opening of 25th tab crashes and shows out of memory error. pls. help

hi,

i usually surf with 1 tab opened up to 10 maximum.

i thought at first the cause of this Error is from my kaspersky & adguard protection softwares because iam applying heavy rules and protection levels in them so that the internet traffic is heavily monitored in my system, however, when i reviewed others reports, & turned off my all system protection softwares in order & in hope to look into the source of this problem, i found out that the problem is with surfing that exceeds 2 gb ram, with no clue what is the reason for this.

i have never encountered this error ever, as maybe its look like its happening recently with new egde updates or something, as iam using edge from a long time.

I would like you to open the browser task manager and see what is taking a lot of memory.

1. Click on the three dots menu button.
2. Go to More tools.
3. Click on Browser task manager.

in order to encounter with the same error scenario with isolated environment, i did the following:

* Paused all security softwares installed in my system, so network trafffic is not monitored.

* Stopped all of the extensions from working, so to have a clean test.

* i surfed the same website this error keeps hapenning to me in, which is Facebook, specially surfing 1080p Videos.

* the estimated Videos number being scrolled down into in the same page from top until the error starts, maybe 100 videos in the page being cached in paging file.

* total 1 tab's opened in this test scenario usage of ram reached 3 gb ram.

* suddenly the error happened, the tab disappeared from Edge task manager, and from my system task manager, while its still opened in my browser but in the error dialogue.

* before the error dialogue appears in the browser, the tab still raising and raising the usage of vram & the system physical ram, & one good benefit

for this error is that the error dialogue & the tab disappearance from the task managers is what preventing the error from continuing using all my available storage for the paging file.

* screenshot shows the the two tabs i was opening, one is this microsoft community question page, and the second was just beneath it before it's diassperance due to the error dialogue happening.

*** Note: when my system storage previously have been completly occupied by the error, the error dialogue didnt appear & kept using my storage untill the cpu was forced to interfere & to suspend the browser from processing to save my whole system from a dangeruos crash.

so please help us fixing this bug.

i noticed that my igpu was processing the video frames being displayed in the screen of which the automatic play is playing while scrolling down the page, and iam in gpu power saving mode.

should i switch to the main gpu to see what happens?
