Couple of months ago, I was trying out the 'pin to taskbar' feature on Windows 10, but it didn't seem to work correctly and the icons used to disappear after a while, but right clicking on the empty space still opened a menu. I stopped using them for good after a while. But for the past week, Edge has been showing the same websites, but only when they are open in the browser, on the taskbar by itself and right clicking on them doesn't show the 'unpin from taskbar' option. When I pin them again using the feature, the 'unpin from taskbar' now appears on the menu and unpins the website. But they appear again after a while and disappear when the tab is closed in the browser.
I have also tried reinstalling the browser by running the setup file but that doesn't seem to fix it. How can I fix this?

None of the solutions provided worked for me
same here. randomly tabs are being shown on a taskbar as open not pinned. Still its annoying - they should remain in the browser where they belong.
Will it make a difference if I/We join Insider build program: You know the Canary, Dev or Beta channels?
As in April 4, 100.0.1185.44 edge official build ->> 100.0.1185.50 = Still not fixed :(
Postscript: Version 101.0.1210.39 (Official build) (64-bit) >> Version 101.0.1210.47 (Official build) (64-bit). As the bolded version update it seems finally that maybe it's fixed. At least some sites like twitter stopped showing in the taskbar; I'll appreciate if a dev states what was exactly the problem?!
No. It takes time but it pop up again. Sad :(
Yes, I also have randomly problem.
