Continuing Edge Taskbar Pinning Issue

The question is no longer how to stop Edge from pinning itself to the taskbar. The fact that every time this question has been posed, answered or not, old or recent, appears to be closed to discussion says a lot. The question now is "What does Microsoft have hidden in Edge that makes them so desperate to have everyone use it?"

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

    We have not encountered an issue similar to yours. Edge automatically pinning itself to the taskbar might just be due to a minor glitch in Edge itself, which has caused the pinning function to malfunction and subsequently led to your current issue.

    Threads being closed is a result of the community's processes. It is normal for any issue to be automatically closed and locked if the original poster does not respond
