How to configure Edge for keyword shortcut for search engine

I would like to know how to set up Edge to use a keyword for a different search engine.

I have it working on Chrome -- in the address bar, if I type "maps xxxxxx" it will open google.com/maps and search for xxxxx

I attempted to do the same in edge, using keyword maps and pointing to google.com/maps, but it always opens the default search engine (which I set up as google, but not google maps)

Is there a way to get the functioning to work like it does in chrome? Specifically to use "maps whatever" in the address bar and it opens google maps with "Whatever" already being searched?

Thanks!

P.S. I also tried pointing to https://www.google.com/maps/search/%/ in the settings, but the behaviour is the same, it doesn't go to google maps by default, it goes to google

    Hi, MikeJPas

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

If I understand correctly, you want to enter maps xxxx in the search bar to open Google Maps and search for the keyword, right? We tried it and found that the error might be due to the incorrect address. Our settings are as follows, you can refer to them. We tested and it should work correctly.

    (URL https://www.google.com/maps/search/?q=%s)

Enter maps then enter space key you should see this.

    Best regards
