Hi Bohe, I have tried all of the above suggestions, and the problem remains.
The Delete browsing data does not delete anything.
The Clear Now feature fails as does the X close option in top right corner of the pop up box.
This started after latest Edge Browser update.
Hello, Lewis Williams
Welcome to the Microsoft Community.
Hello, thank you for your feedback here on your issue, it seems that you are experiencing an issue with the edge browser where the Delete Browsing Data tab is not closing.
This issue you are experiencing may be caused by browser settings, extensions, cache, etc.
Here are some common solutions you can try one by one:
Close all Edge windows and then restart your browser to try clearing your browsing data again.
Sometimes certain browser extensions may cause problems. You can try disabling the extensions and see if that solves the problem.
Open the Edge browser and click on the three dots (menus) in the upper right corner.
Select Extensions.
Disable all extensions and restart Edge.
If the problem is solved, enable the extensions one by one to find out which one is causing the problem.
The problem may be caused by an old browser version. Make sure your Edge browser is up to date.
Click on the three dots (menus) in the upper right corner.
Choose Help & Feedback > About Microsoft Edge.
Edge will automatically check for and update to the latest version.
If there is a problem with your browser cache or cookies, the Delete Browsing Data tab may not close. You can try clearing your cache and cookies manually:
Open Edge Settings and click Privacy, Search, and Services.
In the Clear browsing data section, click Select what to clear.
Check Cached images and files, as well as Cookies and other site data, and then click Clear.
If the above methods don't work, you can try to reset Edge settings:
Open Edge Settings and click Reset Settings.
Select Restore settings to defaults and confirm.
You can try using Privacy Mode (InPrivate window) and then try clearing your browsing data in it to see if you have the same problem:
Click the three dots in the top right corner and choose New InPrivate window.
Then try clearing browsing data in private mode
If none of the above methods work, you can consider reinstalling Edge.
You can visit the following thread to reinstall a different version of edge:
You can try it out by referring to the steps above, and after that, give some feedback and I will further support you.

I also tried all of the 7 listed steps, and the Delete Browsing Data window still does NOT close.
It happens to me a as well, I have seen it on two different machines, with different specs. One of them runs Windows Server 2025, the other Windows 10 Pro. It seems cache can not remove.
