Drop does not sync more often than not!

I've been trying to use Drop in Edge between a Windows 11 laptop and an Android smartphone, and it does not sync more often than not, even when I use the Sync icon at both ends. It's so unreliable that I've essentially given up on it. Has anyone been able to get it to sync reliably?

    Tommy Jin,

Thank you, but it seems that you are not completely familiar with the Drop implementation. On both Android and Windows there is a manual Refresh button to apparently force cloud sync (complete with activity spinner), but they do not actually sync (here at least), which is a bug, not a feature.

Yes, I did send Feedback (for all the good that will do), but since that is unlikely to solve my problem, I posted here to see if others are having the same issue and for any workarounds that others might have found. I take the lack of response to mean that few are actually using the Drop feature.
An alternative in some use cases is to use Send to devices, which works more often than Drop, but likewise fails too often to be a good solution.

It's a shame that these features are so unreliable because it gives Edge a bad name.

The alternative I'm using to sync across devices is Google Keep, which does work reliably.

    John

    Hi, JNavas

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

This feature is entirely implemented through cloud services. It is likely a functionality issue, as the developers have not provided an interface to set the synchronization time. Therefore, if you are dissatisfied with the current functionality, you will need to use the feedback feature in Edge by pressing Alt+Shift+I to report the issue to the Edge development team so that they are aware of the related problem.

    Best regards

I just purchased a new Samsung Galaxy 360 laptop. The MS Drop feature on Edge does not fully sync all the files. It has synced some. Please advise.
