Hope you are all good.
We are facing an issue while promoting 2019 server to Domain controller.
We have our environment with 2016 servers, which are all physical servers. And the DNS is third party.
The 2019 server is azure VM. While we are promoting the server we are getting the error as below
The wizard can not access the list of domains in the forest. The error is: an extended error has occured
Hi @Rajesh Karre , this usually points to a DNS configuration issue. Please check to make sure everything is configured correctly. I would also check with the third party to see if the issue is on their end. If not, please check back here and we will help you solve this.

We have checked with our 3rd party DNS team, all the A records and host records are created. We are able to ping and nslookup the domain from the server. Not sure what's blocking the promotion
