How to search by company name 2016

I have moved a client to a new laptop and new install of O365. He now cannot search his contacts by Company Name when composing an e-mail. He can search by Company when in the Contacts folder, but not when he starts from the To: field in a message form. Is there a way to enable this field?
Thanks,
Joe

    Hi @Joe Duehmig

but not when he starts from the To: field in a message form

Actually, the list that displayed when you type in from filed is the autocompled list and other suggestions. And the list was created with the names and addresses of your recent recipients, which seems to it doesn't contain the company name field, so we may not be able to search it directly when we typed in from field, for more information, please refer to this article: Manage suggested recipients in the To, Cc, and Bcc boxes with Auto-Complete.

For your requirement, it's suggested to share your idea in our uservoice for Outlook, which is the official platform that Microsoft collect the suggestions on Outlook, it may increase the priority for our engineers to create a possible option or feature that can be included in the future updates of the program.

For your normal use, as an alternative, it's suggested to add any main characters of company name in your contacts' name, so that the contact could display when you type the related character in from field.
