Credit card verification using CVV does not work.

I have a credit card stored in my Wallet that I have successfully used in the past. I use it for my Microsoft subscriptions. Recently I tried to make a purchase on my computer but when the requirement to enter my credit card security number (CVV/CVC) came up it would not work. The app showed the buffering sign but then stopped at the exact same window. I re-entered the number a few times but it never did work. I went into settings to ensure I had the correct CVV/CVC number and tried again with no success. I shut down and restarted my computer again with no success. I added another credit card to my wallet and tried to use that but once again zero success. There does not seem to be an option for me to delete and then re-install the "authenticate card" function or to disable the credit cards as I use my credit card for my subscriptions.

I recently reset my computer as I was having an issue with icons not working after my computer was updated with KB5030310 that was not able to be corrected using this community Q&A. Everything seemed to be working OK after I went through the process and handled all the issues that come with a reset but this is now popping up. I would rather not have to reset my computer again.

    Hi all

I have an email from the Microsoft Edge Feedback Team 2 to say "We wanted to let you know that our team is actively looking into it and checking to see what we can do."

    No reference number, though.

Charlie - I think the best thing to do is to use Edge to file a Feedback report -

I've just done that and detailed the problem and got an immediate response saying that it's been received and "We'll keep you posted on our progress"

Unfortunately, the guy who used to be the go-to point for all Edge related issues internally (ie he had a direct line into the product team but his remit was to take feedback from inside Microsoft) got laid off in January 😔 so I'm not sure what back doors there are to raise this other than through the official channels.

I am experiencing the exact same issue as Bill and Max. The CVV verification has been working ever since I've had the card and in the last 2-3 weeks, it has become problematic. I actually (incorrectly) told one vendor that they had a gateway issue on their site.

    Hello, Bill_913

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

It's possible that Edge itself is experiencing some issues. Have you tried the steps mentioned here?

What to do if Microsoft Edge isn't working - Microsoft Support

For example, clearing your browsing data (make sure to back up important data beforehand), disabling extensions, and checking your network settings?

If these still don't work, please provide feedback to the developers so they can investigate the issue. Simply open Edge, click on the three dots in the upper-right corner, then select "Help and feedback" - "Send feedback."

    Best regards

I'm getting the same thing on one PC, where on entering the CVV number it either responds immediately with "server unresponsive" or it shows a dialog where it's sending info but then comes back saying "Recheck the number and try again".

On another PC synced with the same MSA, it's fine. That other PC is running the stable release (119.0.2151.72 at this point) whereas the PC with the issue is running the Beta channel (120.0.2210.22).

I've tried playing around with extensions (no difference) and connecting the PC to a different network (hotspot on mobile vs wired internet at home) - again, no difference. I don't really want to reset the whole browser profile, and I think I had to do that recently anyway and it didn't make any difference to this niggling issue, which has been happening for weeks/months.

Does anyone know how to clear the cache where Edge stores payment info?
