    Hi David,

I'm Sumit, here to answer your query at the Microsoft Community.

Pressing Win+H keys should open the voice typing prompt, which you can use to speak and type - have you tried that?

Please update us on your progress.

Yes, it worked but I have to back up to use it repeatedly. I will keep working with it to see if I can get back to the ease it was to use voice search as it was before they changed it. Thank You!

    Hi David,

I have same problem also appeared recently, whenever I click on new tab which is what I always do whenever I want to do a Bing search, I then click on the microphone icon to do a voice search instantly and have done for about 6 years no problems. Now icon has disappeared!

Certainly don't want to have to press windows and H every single time I want to do a search, there must be a reason why it has disappeared, so microsoft, please tell us why you have removed it??

I have now spent hours trying to find how to change the default URL address from the one Microsoft has decreed will appear when you click on new tab, to this Bing search page https://www.bing.com/ which, as you can see still has the microphone, so you can voice search. Unbelievably, Microsoft have made it impossible to simply change the address of the web page which opens when you click on new tab, even when it is to one of their own Bing search pages!!! Why??

So, Microsoft, can you please either put the voice search microphone back on your "New tab" web page, or, let us change the new tab web page which opens to another of your own Bing search pages which has still got the microphone to do voice searches.

Many thanks in advance for your assistance.

I really miss the option to use voice search with a single click on New Tabs in edge!

Why in the world would Microsoft think it was a good idea to remove it??????????

Microsoft please add it back ASAP!!!!
