HP Webcam 101 does not work anymore in Windows Vista__

I was in the middle of skyping when (Web You Cam) which is installed on my computer suddenly came on as it has before.  Usually, when that has happened, I have just closed it or gone quickly into the options and changed it to the HP Webcam - 101 setting.  This time when I closed it,  and it seems to have messed up the webcam settings.

I have done it all gone into the Device Manager, Input devices it lists USB Camera.  When you go to

Driver details it has this listed C:\Windows\system32\drivers\usbvideo.sys .

Details says  - Property decription and Value says - USB Video Device.

General says that the Device status is working properly. When I select Update drive it gives me two options

 (1) -> Browse my computer for software driver, Locate and install driver software manually.  when I select this this come up C:\SWSetup\SP39902\V32  Then when you press the next button it tells you that Windows has determined the driver software for my device is up to date.

(2)-> Serch automatically for updated driver software.  Widows will search your computer and the Internet for the latest driver software for your device..  When I select this it comes up with searching on line, then it also comes of with windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date.

I hope I have given you enough information to be able to help me get this working.

P.S I have now uininstalled Web You cam ,off my computer because I also noticed that after the webcam stopped working,

when I opened the main flolder some of the usual componets in the folder were missing.  Reinstalled it and it came up the same way.  Infact now it comes up giving me the option to renew it but at a higer version.  It seems as if the older version is not offered anymore.  In any case HP Webcam -101 is what I use to use.

I have been to the above mentioned site but even before I did that I did update the drivers.  It told me that I already had the most up-to-date drivers.  I went to the YouCam website to download Version 3 as I only had the original version and thought that, that may be the problem.  When I went back into skype I found out that it only displayed a still picture of you cam 3 infact it say YouCom instead of YouCam  so I uninstalled it again.

    Any more ideas!
