USB Audio Device not working - Stereo Link 1200

Question

I bought a new computer with Windows 7 on it and my Stereo Link 1200 works 5% of the time.  The old box was XP and it worked perfectly.

I've tried all their solutions aside from the multiple registration fix (not tech savy enough to attempt this).

It seems to randomly work and I haven't been able to determine what the pattern is.

Any help would be welcome.

I did not do the registry suggestion because instead, I reformatted my drive, doing a clean install of Win 7 64.  (A true clean install reformatting of a new hard drive).  I performed all the windows required updates.  Before installing any other apps, I tried the StereoLink, and once again, the windows USB drivers did not install.  But all worked fine on the Burr-

Brown DAC that I borrowed from my neighbor.  So I believe that rules out any 3rd party driver conflicts.  I do hope StereoLink works this out.  I'm sure it going to be them blaming Mircrosoft, and vice versa, yielding no solution.  Really unfortunate.  I like the product.  Until it's fixed, I'm splitting the output of my sound card between computer speakers and main home amplifier (a poor fix in theory, but it works surprisingly well as long as I add EQ).

Divya, I tried all the steps aside from the registry "fix" as I was nervous about it!

LuluDev, this issue affects all their devices.  Did you actually do the registry fix?

It's an interesting issue as Stereolink has always used the USB driver contained within the prior Windows operating systems, not their own driver.  My question is will Win 7-64 send out a fix (doubtful) or will Stereolink have to (for the first time) send out a driver to fix the issue.

My hope is that since it affects all of their business, Stereolink will be motivated to come up with a fix.  I miss my 1200 as it is what drives my home system.

Hi Howie345, 

As I see that you have also posted in a similar issue thread, did you try the steps given in that link. 

As the manufacturer has reported the Operating of this device in Windows 7 Operating system as a bug, you may have to wait for a update to be released by the manufacturer to resolve this issue.
