    Hi,

This is repairable though you may need technical help.

References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.

This is serious error and "may" not be repairable without professional tech support from

a real computer shop (not leeks and peeks at a BestBuy or other BigBox Stores) or your

    System maker's Support.

Here are the troubleshooting methods to try to fix the issue : (The fix for corrupt is basically the same

as for the boot manager is missing.)

Try Startup Repair - (If at ANY point you gain some but not full access to Windows come

back and try Startup Repair again.)

I have the same problem exactly like yours. Its not hardware since I sent my pc back to the manufacturer to solve that and  its finally software . I still cant find what it is but I think that autoupdates on windows caused the issue. The right quastion is how we can restore system to an earlier period since it restarts again and again. I also tried booting from cd but itfreezes and after restart. For any ideas please reply.

    Hi,

That loud beeping means a hardware error so you need the help of a real computer shop (one

that does its own in-shop service).

I HAVE searched the Net for a solution (And I do have the Windows Disk) - BUT - My PC seems dead. It won't boot up at all :( so I cannot run the repair (Disk) that all online advice gives. Disk Drive whirs once then stops.

ALL I get is the Monitor Logo (No PC/Windows Logo) PC does not make boot up noises. Just seems to be a low hissing sound. Nothing on screen. Screen is black. Only monitor button button flashes to let me know the actual Monitor is on.

It began with a LOUD Beeping/Rapping noise, then a BSOD - then BOOTMGR image is corrupt. The system cannot boot (On a black screen) - it DID say press cntrl-alt-del - BUT it never gave me time to do that. It rapidly went dead (black screen).

I turned off PC. Waited 30 mins and turned it back on. Nothing/Nada/Dead except for what I can only describe as a low hissing noise.(No more error notices or anything).

What can I do if my PC seems dead? I am unable to run my Windows disk because the tower/disk drive won't work and PC won't even begin to boot up.
