    Hi caiustitus,

    1.       Is this a recent issue?

    2.       Do you run Kaspersky Internet Security?

    3.       Are you attempting to get updates from within Windows Vista or are you going to the Windows Update website?

    4.       Is this happening with a specific update(s), as in, do some updates work?

Same problem here in Windows 7. These steps didn't help me either.

This didn't work for me. I have SBS 2008. It is funny, if I click on the link "Check online for updates for Windows Update" it checks for updates. If I click on "Check for Updates" I get the error code.

The bigger problem is that now the WSUS 3.0 also fails with the same error so nobody can update!

In the SBS Console under Security - Updates, all fields have "An error occured while retrieving updates information."
