    Hi Rocky Rich,

    a.        May I know if you get any error message?

    b.       Was it working fine before?

I’d suggest you to update drivers for your video card and increase Hardware acceleration and check if you’re able to play Railroad Tycoon 3.

Please visit the link below to update a driver,

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isnt-working-properly

To increase hardware acceleration in Windows 7, please see the steps below.

    1.       Click Start -> Control Panel -> Appearance and Personalization.

    2.       Under Personalization, click Adjust screen resolution.

    3.       On the Display Settings dialog, click the Advanced Settings button.

    4.       On the monitor properties dialog, click the Troubleshoot tab.

    5.       Click the Change settings button.

    6.       On the security dialog, click Continue.

    7.       Move the Hardware acceleration slider toward up to increase hardware acceleration.

    8.       Click OK.

    9.       Restart Windows.

If the above steps do not help resolve your issue, please contact the software publisher for more assistance by visiting the link below.

    Hope this information helped you.

Hey, I was able to get the game to work in Windows 7 x64. There's a couple of things you need to do first, one is to make sure you've got the offical 1.05 patch or the unoffical 1.06 patch installed and you need to grab the "Vista Patch" from this site.

    http://hawkdawg.com/rrt/rrt3/rrt3.htm

    Quote from the site:

The problem with Railroad Tycoon 3 and Windows Vista is caused by the graphics setting for "Disable Hardware T&L"

This box should be checked. Credit goes to someone named DevHyfes at the Steam forums.

Well take2games will say that there is no fix for it right now with Windows 7. The tech I talked to is that they don't know if there will be a patch for it or not so like me you have a game that you cant play.
