Missing file MFC71U.DLL

Question

Using Cyberlink - Powerdirector 8 Ultra for video editing and having endless problems. Latest message that appeared was that MFC71U.DLL not installed on my computer - what is that and where to get Newly installed Windows 7 on Toshiba computer. When editing, powerdirector keeps shutting down, loosing video from timeline and windows message - will notify when solution becomes available appears. Tried Cyberlink support and still no solution to problem

Have you run MSUpdate for Important updates ONLY, and are there any failed updates?

On the Cyberlink website- PowerDirector 8 Ultra does show to be compatible with Windows 7.

I suggest you run SFC /scannow to see if there are any corrupt system files.

Click Start

Type: CMD, from the results, right click CMD

Click 'Run as Administrator'

At the Command Prompt, type: sfc/scannow

This will check for any integrity violations and fix any corrupted operating system files.

Restart your system.

Then check and see if you still get the error message about MFC71U.dll is missing.

Please reply back with an update.

I installed a blu ray player in my computer and now it says i need to install mfc71u.dll on it to make the blue ray work. do you all know where i can download it for free every place that i have gone want money for it. I already spent 200 bucks already and do not want to spend another dime to get this to work.
