If no signed driver exists, and you are aware of the risks in using unsigned drivers, (accepting responsibility for any problems it causes,) there is a Policy setting available to turn off the requirement.

Click start, and type gpedit.msc

ENABLE the option for code signed drivers at:

User Config/Admin Templ./System/Driver installation

then set the drop box to "Ignore"

I don't have "Driver installation" at the end of that branch in GPEDIT.MSC :

      User Configuration

           └ Administrative Templates

                  └ System

                    └ < "driver installation"= absent >

The available choices under "System" are :

                  └ System

                    └ User Profiles

                    └ Scripts

                    └ Ctrl+Alt+Del Options

                    └ Logon

                    └ Group Policy

                    └ Power Management

                   ▸ └ Internet Communication Management

… and that last choice at the bottom has its own sub-branch as indicated by the "▸", but "driver installation" isn't in there either (obviously). Any ideas? I'm wondering if it's because this is a fresh installation of Windows® 7 64-bit I'm doing for someone and I have yet to install the 200+ updates that are no doubt required (because for over 4 hours Windows Update has been "checking for updates").

    I'm running windows7 ultimate.

The gpedit.msc didn't fix it for me (in fact it says in the settings window that it only will affect various versions of windows, and windows 7 was not listed).  It did not work after a reboot either.

    I tried these:

    bcdedit.exe -set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS

    bcdedit.exe -set loadoptions DISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS

    bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING ON

All of these reported successful when I typed them in.  I figured that the double "D" might have been a typo.

    Rebooted.

    worked.

    Windows 7

    1. Hit the Win+R keys together to open the run dialog
    2. Type gpedit.msc to open the local groups policy

    editor

    1. Expand ‘Administrative Templates’ (it’s under ‘User Configuration’)
    2. Expand ‘System’. Click ‘driver Installation’
    3. In the right panel, double click on ‘Code Signing for Device Drivers’
    4. Choose ‘Enabled’ in the window that appears.
    5. In the underlying options, choose ‘Ignore’
    6. This disables drivers signing in Windows 7, and now you can install unsigned drivers in Windows 7.
    7. Click Apply, OK. Restart your computer to install

    unsigned drivers

    Windows 8

    1. Hold down the Windows key on your keyboard and press the letter C to open the Charm menu, then click the gear icon (Settings )
    2. Click More PC Settings
    3. Click General
    4. Under Advanced Startup , click Restart Now

Note: In Windows 8.1, the ‘Restart Now’ button has moved to ‘PC Setting -> Update & Recovery -> Recovery.’

    1. After restarting, click Troubleshoot
    2. Click Advanced options
    3. Click Windows Startup Settings
    4. Click Restart
    5. After restarting your computer a second time,

    choose Disable driver signature enforcement

from the list by typing the number 7 on your Keyboard Your computer will restart automatically.

    1. After restarting, you will be able to Install

    unsigned drivers normally; however, Windows

will display a warning message. When the

warning appears, click Install this driver

    software anyway.

My computer is running a Win7 64-bit platform.

I try these commands “**bcdedit.exe -set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS"**and "bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING ON",  and reboot the computer, but it doesn't work, too. The error code 52 still exist.

When I just execute "bcdedit.exe", all Win7 boot loader settings have been listed. I note that "loadoptions = DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS" and **"testsigning = Yes".**It seems two above commands have been executed successfully. What is the final solution?

BTW**: F8 key** and boot selection look OK, this method can work but not convenience!
