If no signed driver exists, and you are aware of the risks in using unsigned drivers, (accepting responsibility for any problems it causes,) there is a Policy setting available to turn off the requirement.

    Click start, and type gpedit.msc

ENABLE the option for code signed drivers at:

    User Config/Admin Templ./System/Driver installation

then set the drop box to "Ignore"

I forget if you do it before or after the Driver Sig program. There is an option in the program to sign a driver. You have to sign the driver with the program at some point. Then it will be signed for running in test mode only.

There is an How to run in "test" mode.

    (Copy and paste above link)

    Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider

    Run downloaded exe

    Select "Enable Test Mode"

    Select "Exit"

    Reboot

Faint "Test Mode" in lower right.

Run again to disable test, exit then reboot.

If you want to always stay in test mode you can. Just don't run job 2nd time.

I tried this in Windows home premium and at one point I did get the test mode 7061 I think. I tried loading the driver and it said OK but when I started up again it hung at starting windows. I had to restart - restore & was back where I started. Now I cannot seem to even get the test mode in the lower right hand corner. I will try once more. Thanks for your efforts but I still have the problem.

As to my own reply above I am just wondering if the card is dodgy - It is recognised but won't except a driver :-(

    Very confused here.

Update - ran the software installation package again and it installed a driver. Unfortunately now the software that runs this card won't start. Not sure why it installed what it installed but it did install something which bodes well.

Think I need  imput from supplier. Will advise when I find out the problem for others. Still no test mode visible though. The mind boggles.
