How can I delete the "Frequent" list within Windows Explorer?

Question

This "Frequent" list exists when you pin "My Computer" to the taskbar and then right click on the folder.

The reason I want to delete the "Frequent" list is because it intrusively is located below the desired "pinned" list and the Frequent list is also a privacy issue where a guest to my computer can see all the files I have ever visited.

Hi

The only way to do this is to right click the Start button and select Properties. Remove both check marks from the options in the Privacy section.

Note: This is a global setting and will apply to all program pinned to the Taskbar.

This is for Windows 8 and Windows 7

Right click the taskbar, then click properties. After that go to Jump List then that's when

you uncheck the two privacy check boxes.

I did this but the annoying frequent list still shows up. I am using windows 8 and ie10

This is Windows 8..I can't even figure out where the "start" button is. I called the sales rep from the store of purchase...they said to go to the Microsoft online support...they told me to go somewhere else.
