App Data _Local_Microsoft_Windows_Photo_Gallery_Original Images this folder is big 28 gigs and growing

It appears that whenever I edit a picture in Windows Photo Gallery it (the pgm) stores an original copy in the "   App Data _Local_Microsoft_Windows_Photo_Gallery_Original Images Folder"; I assume this is to allow me to 'revert to original' if I goof up on the edit. This means I have my edited picture, the way I want it and a copy in this "original images folder'.  Other than "not" being able to 'revert to original' is there any problem with deleting the pictures in this folder.  I always have an external original on another media.

To specify when original pictures will be deleted

Open Windows Photo Gallery by clicking the Start button , clicking All

Programs, and then clicking Windows Photo Gallery.

Click the File menu, and then click Options.

Under Move originals to Recycle Bin after, click the time after which your

    original pictures should be deleted.
