How to increase the number of recent files displayed from taskbar?

When you right-click on an application that's pinned to the taskbar, it comes up with a list of recent files. Is there a way to increase the number it shows?

When you right-click on an application that's pinned to the taskbar, it comes up with a list of recent files. Is there a way to increase the number it shows?

Hi

Right click the Start Button and click Properties.

Select the Customize Button.

At the bottom of that configuration dialog you will see the settings for increasing the number of recent items in the Jump Lists.

    Could you please elaborate how I can find that or point me to a material that might explain it

    Thanks, this worked in Win 8.1 also but you have to right click task bar in stead and select properties and then the tab jump lists

    This is a regedit key. You can run regedit by first typing it in the search bar.

    HKCU is abbreviation for HKEY_CURRENT_USER
