Are you using Programs and Features to remove this program, or do you have an Uninstall.exe (or shortcut) that you are clicking on? If the latter, try right-clicking on it and selecting the "Run As Administrator" option, do this even if you are an Admin user.
ikernel.exe error
Tried to uninstall and got the "The Install Engine (ikernel.exe) could not be launched". Help!!! Don't know how to fix.

- Which program are you trying to uninstall or install?
You may try the following steps and check if it helps:
Method 1
Delete the files that are in Temporary folder.

Method 2:
In most cases, the installation can be completed by deleting the folder in the following location:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Engine
I would suggest you to check the compatibility of the program you trying to install or uninstall with Windows 7.
