Original Title: Hotfix request not working

I have a notebook that is having the issues described in the following KB article:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/891387

For some reason when I click to request a hotfix it simply states:

"The system is currently unavailable. Please try back later, or contact support if you want immediate assistance.http://support.microsoft.com/contactus/?ws=support"

I have tried other browsers and other machines on different networks to make sure it wasn't something resolveable on my end. Is the hotfix request system not working at this time? If so is there an alternate way to obtain/request this hotfix. I have been trying for several days now, and all attempts yield the same results.

    Hi Geradex,

    -      Which version of Windows XP Operating system do you use? Specify even the Service Pack edition.

You can upgrade to the latest version of Service Pack to fix this issue as well as obtain more benefits of the Operating system.

How to obtain the latest Windows XP service pack

You can even contact the Customer Support to fix this issue.

    Regards

I don't see KB891387 in the list of items included in SP3:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/946480

If you have not already performed a Google search on KB891387 you might want to do that and read what other folks have to say about it.

I have no recollection or notes of having come across it and there isn't much in Google searches about that hotfix.

If you have some news, let us know.

Yeah magically it started working shortly after I responded.

Side note - Apparently the hotfix is ONLY for SP2 and it states I don't need to install it, is there a similar hotfix for SP3?

The notebooke in question is running Windows XP Pro SP3.

As far as contacting support, it seems that the only option that has a chance at yeilding any answers is an option which that would cost money. Unless of course I am doing something wrong.
