svchost.exe file LocalSystemNetworkRestricted using too much RAM

The svchost.exe file (LocalSystemNetworkRestricted) is using too much RAM, almost 1/2 of it.  There are also multiple svchost.exe files (no restrictions)  and  the indexer uses alot of RAM too. I already paired the indexer back. I am suspecting this is the cause of my right click hang with windows explorer.  I have 4G of RAM, small basic programs, file clean constantly  and the computer is still slow.  How do I fix?  Test/scan etc.?  HELP.............................
