Hi i tryed to update my pc to windows 7 sp1 that i downloaded througth windows update and my pc keeps getting stuck at the patch 108 tousand something and it keeps doing it so i cant get on it.

startup repair isn't helping much atm

how do i fix this? (and before you ask i'm on my fathers laptop not on my pc)

    Looks like the language packs are causing this error, at least for me, I had the same, neither Last known good configuration, system restore or startup repair worked, so I eventually had to reinstall Windows 7 RTM + dozens of updates before eventually seeing SP1 in Windows Update. I had all language packs installed, I remember the same SP1 failure some time ago when Vista SP1 was out, different error code though.
