Even though all my settings are all set to print legal sized documents on legal sized paper and the documents look correct in print preview, my printouts show up letter sized on legal sized paper when they print. How do I correct this? This is happening for all programs. Waws not a problem when I first upgraged to Windows 7.

I'm having this same issue with legal documents not printing.  New computer purchased last month and purchased the office 365 for it, but legal size is not printing.  It will show the entire doc in the preview and then when it sends to print it cuts off the bottom portion of the legal document.  It will print letter size on legal size paper.  I've tried HP support and called for microsoft support.  They informed me I had to get online support so I'm hoping someone can help me here.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    1.       What is the make and model number of the printer?

    2.       Are you using the application or control panel settings to set the print preferences?

    3.       Are you able to print other size of paper without any issue?

if you have anot tried setting the printer default size in Devices and printer then you may try the steps mentioned below.

    a)     Click on start

    b)     Select Devices and Printers

    c)      Right click on the  printer icon and select Printing preferences

    d)     Now select the advanced tab and in the paper size option select legal as the default size.

    e)     Click on Apply and then on Ok

You may also get in touch with the Printer manufacturer for further assistance on the issue.

I’ve tried setting the printer preference, and also through the application – no difference print preview shows legal paper and prints letter sized on legal paper. The identical file prints correctly on an identical printer in the office only doesn’t print correctly through my computer.

    HI,

I would try totally uninstalling that printer from your computer, then reinstalling it. Make sure you also download all the drivers from the printer's support site as well.
