Outlook 2016 and 2019 attachment not shown when property PR_MESSAGE_CLASS_W is REPORT.IPM.Note.NDR

Hello Everybody,

i have the following Problem:
I get NDR Mails from my Exchange server with an attachment of the original Mail.

This Mails i can open anywhere but on Outllok 2016 and 2019 i dont see the attachmen on Apple Devices i can see it.

Now i have searched and found that the exhcnage Server set the flag:
PR_MESSAGE_CLASS_W to report.IPM.Note.NDR

If I change the value to IPM.Note Outlook shows everything okay.

Sorry to be a little confused about your issue here. Do you mean that you cannot send emails out and receive NDR email messages? Or you encountered issues about cannot see the Outlook attachment in windows Outlook desktop client? In order to conduct further researches about your issue, would you mind providing me with more information related to your issue such as specific error content or error screenshots. By the way, how does this issue perform on your web mail? To confirm if your issue is related to your Outlook client, testing on your web mail is a very effective method.

Thanks for your detailed reply.

I did try a lot of research about "PR_MESSAGE_CLASS_W", "Report.IPM.Note.NDR", and similar NDR attachment issues. Have you checked the same property between other normal emails with attachments and this specific NDR email message to see if there is any difference? Personally, I think the issue might be related to this NDR email message's specific format which could not be displayed well by outlook client, and once you convert the message format, you shall get the attachment normally.
