Opening and reading PDF files in Microsoft Edge on Windows 10

The natural voices are installed. Read Aloud just skips right over the text and only reads the header and footer of the page. Note this is NOT an epub or pdf format. This is the DRM file format that is used with Amazon Unlimited and reading a book. Not asking to break DRM. Just asking if the immersive reader with Read Aloud can speak the words on the page? Thank you.

Hi, I'm Elise, and I'd be happy to help with your issue.
I don’t believe you can use immersive reader, but the cloud reader does have a text to speech feature:
The Kindle Cloud Reader, available for Windows and Mac browsers, makes enabling the Text-to-Speech feature simple. Simply select the book you want to read, navigate to “Tools,” and then click “Start Text-to-Speech.” The narration should begin immediately.
