Copilot not working...

Ok, I am a IT novice so bare with me.

The issue is quite straight forward, Microsoft Copilot doesn't work for me.

  • Not in Edge as the plug-in
  • Not at copilot.microsoft.com
  • Not with Bing search,
  • Not with downloading the android phone app.

Tried on 2 computer, 2 phones, 1 tablet. EVERY other AI is working fine (chatgpt, gemini, etc etc etc) , no problem what so ever.

If I go outside my wifi settings, it works as it should be. So clearly it is a router / wifi setting that I need to change. There is no parental block or what not, with the mesh router Deco X20. This means that Copilot is CLEARLY doing something else which my router settings doesn't like.

But ofc finding the information of WHAT you need to allow for this app to work feels like impossible to find. Do anyone else experienced this problem and/or know what settings should be on the router?

    Hello, Bofoba

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

Hello, I'm sorry to hear about your issue, on one of your computers copilot doesn't seem to be working.

Thank you for some of the information you have provided,It's usually something to do with network settings, I would first suggest that you try to reset your computer's network, you can refer to some of the steps below:

    A.Reset the network

    1. Search for CMD, open and find the command prompt (, run in administrator) mode
    2. In the pop-up command box, enter the following commands (each line after the completion of the run enter the next)

    ipconfig /release

    ipconfig /renew

    ipconfig /flushdns

    ipconfig /registerdns

    netsh int ip reset

    netsh winsock reset

    netsh winhttp reset proxy

    1. Restart the computer to see if the problem can be solved.

    B.Reset network settings

Tap windows+R, type inetcpl.cpl, open Internet Options, click Advanced, and tick "Use SSL 3.0", "Use TLS 1.0", "Use TLS 1.1", "Use TLS 1.2", reboot the computer after application to see if the problem can be solved.

    C.Reset Proxy Server Settings

Click windows+R, type inetcpl.cpl, open Internet Options, click Connections, click LAN Settings, check whether the Proxy Server column is ticked, if so, uncheck it and click OK, restart your computer after applying it to see if you can solve the problem.

    D.Changing DNS

    1. Click windows+R and type ncpa.cpl. 2.
    2. Click on the name of the network you are now connected to, open the Network Status window, click Properties, and double-click Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4) in the Network Properties window.
    3. Manually set the DNS servers to "4.2.2.1" and "4.2.2.2" and restart the computer to see if the problem can be solved.

Additionally you can reset your router a bit and that might fix your problem as well.

Thank you for your time and effort in resolving this issue.

    Best regards
