Hi Everyone,

My customer wish to deploy Sharepoint 2019 On premise on a single VM which will be connected to SQL2016 on another VM.

Q: Can above run on NTFS formatted drive (instead of Resilient File System ) for a small deployment as above?

Thank You in advance:)

    Hi @Sebring-1261 ,

SharePoint 2019 can run on both NTFS and ReFS formatted drives, the choice is up to you which you want to use.

Largely it won't matter on the SharePoint Server -- there's not much benefit, there.

On SQL, absolutely ReFS would be preferred. But if you want to stick with NTFS, which is certainly a valid choice, make sure you're using 64k clusters for your MDF/LDF/NDFs volumes when you format the volume.
