Hi Maciorz,

I would suggest you to try the steps and check if it helps.

    a) Right-click the USB drive or flash memory card that Windows is using for Ready Boost, then click "Properties."

    b) Click the "Ready Boost" tab in the "Properties" window for the USB drive or memory card.

    c) Select the radio button labeled "Do not use this device" and then click "OK." This step should automatically delete the Ready Boost cache on the device. If you are still unable to use the full capacity of the device, continue to the next step.

    d) Double-click the USB drive or memory card.

    e) Right-click the file "ReadyBoost.sfcache," then click "Delete."

    f) Click "Yes" to delete the ReadyBoost cache.

Re-plug ready boost device which enables the ready boost service that will create new cache.

Hope this information helps. Reply to the post with updated status of the issue to assist you further.

    Hi Maciorz,

I would suggest you to run System File Check (SFC), and then check if you can start the Sysmain Service.

    Follow the steps:

    a. Press “Windows Key + Q” to open Charms Bar.

    b. Type “cmd”without quotes in the search box.

    c. On the left pane, right clickon the “cmd” option and select “Run as Administrator”.

    d. Type “sfc /scannow” without quotes and hit Enter.

Note: It may ask for windows installation DVD to fix and to enable SFC to make more than minor repairs. Some files saved on your computer might get deleted when fixing corrupted files.

    Hi Geethu,

I have run SFC again and its finished with the following:

    C:>sfc /scannow

Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.

    Verification 100% complete.

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some

of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For

example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. Note that logging is currently not

    supported in offline servicing scenarios.

It did not solve my issue yet.

How much RAM does your computer have? ReadyBoost does nothing except for computers with very little RAM. I almost always recommend against it.
