Favorite contacts disappear on Outlook restart

Hi,

I use Outlook Version: 16.0.13628.20330, wherein every Restart of Outlook the Favorite Contacts disappear.

Have tried correcting the same using MFCMapi (The Structure though is different from what is depicted in the same thread earlier (Wednesday, July 15, 2015 2:51 AM) which is for Outlook 2013. Nevertheless, Favorite Contacts continue disappearing every Restart of Outlook.

Any suggestions, Resolution?

Is it the thread you mentioned-- Favorite contacts disappear on Outlook restart? If so, what are the properties that you have deleted? Based on my tests, here is the location of my Qucik Contact list, I think there may be some differences between different versions, if you haven't deleted it, it's suggested to try it and restart your Outlook to test(Remember to work on online mode).

If you have deleted them and the issue still exists, in order to avoid the interference of corrupted Outlook profile, it's also suggested to create a new Outlook profile and readd your account to test(Control Panel>Mail>Show profiles>Add>type a new profile name>readd your account)

Hello JadeLiang,

Please find relevant Screenshots attached herewith.

The Tree is different as compared to what is depicted in the Thread. It does now show Quick Contact anywhere.

Added Favorites:

How do I remedy this?

Hi JadeLiang,

This is the only Account where I have Contacts (This computer only) Folder. No other mail folder has Contacts.

Albeit there are Contacts in Personal Folders also, which I cannot use for Selecting & Docking Favorite Contacts.

Since last few days, I have been observing a very funny thing. There are 6 Contacts under Favorite Contacts and now it seems, every restart only one disappears while other 5 retain their place.

Have not been able to find any instance of this type of occurrence on web search.

Hope there would be some resolution.
