can i access iot edge module from iot hub portal and modify my module config file of opc publisher.
actually i want to add more tag/node from opc server to opc publisher through iot hub portal ?

Hi, while Satish is looking at this, can you edit your original question to include some more information? The version of OPC Publisher for instance makes a great deal of difference. Up until opc-publisher:2.5.3, the publisher supported Direct Methods to configure the module. I have no personal experience with later versions, but the direct methods are here. The methods were deleted in later versions, but might make a comeback

can direct methods accesss able to update or change configuration file of publishednode.json of opc publisher ??
i dont have the access of iot edge runtime device and all i want is to add initailize more tags or nodes via azure iot hud portal.

Hi @Umer Aslam ! Yes, the direct methods in version 2.5.3 can change the configuration file. In particular, the PublishNodes direct method can add nodes to the configuration file, the UnpublishNodes and UnpublishAllNodes methods can be used to remove a node/all nodes from the file.

You're calling PublishedNodes, the method is PublishNodes.

@QuantumCache It would be great if we could have someone from the Industrial IoT project to explain the current configuration options. Because like I said in my first comment, this is the 'old' way of configuring the model. It works, but might not be future proof.

Hello @Umer Aslam ,

in the past, an older version of the OPC Publisher was capable of updating the nodes configuration file. I have demonstrated this here.

As far as I know, newer versions of the module lost this way to update it. The team went for another solution introducing cloud services, etc.

The team behind the OPC Publisher is constantly improving the module.

i am working on opc publisher on pi device.i have made pi 4 iot edge runtime through docker and setup opcpublisher module on it.i have configured publishednodes.json file in pi and run opc ua simulator for data and i can see data on iot hub portal through command line.now i want to get more tags data can i add more tags or initailize tags in confifuration file which in on pi through iot hub can i access publishednode.json file which on pi from iothub portal ??
