Extract the index you want for the install.wim file. Then you're only dealing with one edition.
SCCM TASK SEQUENCE : FALSE IMAGE INDEX IN APPLY OPERATING SYSTEM
Hi
I've just see that IMAGE INDEX setting was false in task sequence for OS deployment.
"1 - Windows 10 education " instead of "3 - Windows 10 enterprise"
What could be the consequences ?
Thanks
Frédérique

Thanks for posting in Microsoft MECM Q&A forum.
There are separate images captured into one WIM and the images are displayed as "1-Name", "2-Name", "3-Name" etc. And we should select the correct index to image your clients.
As S.Sengupta mentioned, we could import the only one image which you want to deploy to clients to your OS image. Starting SCCM version 1902, when we import an OS image, select the option to Extract a specific image index from the specified WIM file. Then select the image index from the list.
Thanks for your time.
Best regards,
Simon

Thank you all for your responses. I corrected the task sequence. But, I am worried, because a lot of our computers have been deployed with the wrong index.
I would like to know what are the impacts or limitations that will be generated for the concerned pc. In the computer's system properties, it says "edition = Windows 10 Enterprise".
Another question, how to know when and by whom the task sequence has been modified. I hope this isn't sabotage, because I wouldn't want to get fired.
Please excuse me for my broken English, I hope you can understand me.
Have a good week -

Thanks for your reply.

Is Windows 10 Enterprise the operating system edition your company requires to install? If yes, there's no impact or limitation. If not, please try to reimage the PCs with correct edition.2.==>Another question, how to know when and by whom the task sequence has been modified.
Using the status message queries, we will find out who modified the ConfigMgr Task Sequence. For more details, please refer to:
