OSD fails with inaccessible boot device error on RAID controllers

Hello, I am not able to install image on devices that have RAID controller enabled in BIOS. We are on MECM 2010 and using install.wim from OS media. The targeted OS is Windows 10 20H2. I know it works by switching RAID to AHCI in BIOS but we need RAID working with our build process. Anyone has successfully applied RAID drivers during OSD? Please provide your process if it works for you.

I have download latest driver pack from vendor site and also included additional driver package that only contains the RAID drivers but it seems like Windows plug-n-play is unable to detect and apply correct driver and it results BSOD after "Setup Windows and ConfigMgr" step. I am running out of ideas so not sure how to fix this.

Thank you

    ** Resolved **
For some reason Windows was not picking correct driver from the Driver Package so I injected drivers in the WIM and rebuilt the machine which eventually fixed the issue. Now, my Dell machine has RAID enabled in BIOS and its working without any issue.

Hope this will help someone who is looking for resolution on the same issue.

Same here, I have redone the drivers, the boot wim. Using Windows 10 19H2. Models include Dell 7420/Dell 5420. When I switch to AHCI works fine but not when RAID is on with the new Intel 11th Gen.

    Hi,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft MECM Q&A forum.
