Hotmail not receiving mail

Hello I am able to send mail. The junk folder is receiving mail. But my inbox is not receiving mail. I have sent test messages to verify and nothing is coming through to hotmail. Yet, the reported status of hotmail is all is working? Is anyone else unable to receive emails to their inbox? Can anyone suggest a corrective action? Thanks BJ

    Hi @Brendan Marsh ,
    Are you using web mail or Outlook client?
    If the issue occurred on Outlook desktop client, due to it occurred only recently, in order to avoid the interference of corrupted profiles, it's suggested to create a new Outlook profile and readd your account to check(Control Panel>Mail>show profiles>Add>readd your account)

    Besides, if you actually have issue on your web mail, it may be more related to your account itself, I have searched a lot about it, due to you could receive mails in Junk folder, it's suggested to first change the junk option and check the forwarding settings of your account in web mail(settings>view all settings>Junk/forwarding) to check. I have also found a related article : Fix Outlook. com email sync issues, please try to troubleshoot your issue as mentioned above, if that's invalid, please understand here we mainly focus on general issues on Outlook desktop client, in order to solve your account issues better, it's suggested to contact account support .

    Thanks for taking a look @Jade Liang-MSFT
    Sorry the problem exists in both webmail and in the outlook program.
    I have double checked and it remains the case that junk mail is arriving, but not other email.
    I have changed my password too.
    I have tried the trouble shooting suggested and this has been unsuccessful.
    Is it possible for emails to be somehow highjacked, redirected without any rule or setting being present within the known settings (I cannot see any redirection rule present in the visible settings)? I ask as my linkedin was recently hacked.
    Should I share the email address concerned?

    Hello,
    New emails seem to be coming through. The missing emails from three days ago until about 1 hour ago are still missing.
    I am unsure what has caused new emails to start coming through again and I am unsure what has happened to the missing emails.

    As I intend to make contador de clicks Mail a web application, I have the same question as you do (Hotmail not receiving mail).
