My laptop just got updated today to windows 11 everything is working just fine except for the battery life. It draining my battery very fast. It was full charge when I upgrade it, but after an hour it drain fast to 50% even in minimal use. Usually it takes my battery takes 8hrs before it needed to charge. I tried to downgrade my laptop to Windows 10, but the go back button is not working. Is there any way to return to Windows 10 without losing my file/data?

Hi and thanks for reaching out. My name is Bernard a Windows fan like you. I'll be happy to help you out today.

I understand the issue you have, nothing to worry I am here to help, I know some of these steps are already done, you have just skipped it if you think it will have the same result.

    Method 1. Reinstall Battery Drivers:

    -Press Windows key + X

    -Go to Device Manager

    -Expand the Batteries

-Right-click then uninstall all drivers there

-Restart the PC and check it again

    Method 2. Do clean boot:

A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine whether a background program is interfering with your game or program.

    • In the search box on the taskbar, type MSConfig and select System Configuration from the results.
    • On the Services tab of System Configuration, select Hide all Microsoft services, and then select Disable all.
    • On the Startup tab of System Configuration, select Open Task Manager.
    • Under Startup in Task Manager, for each startup item, select the item and then select Disable.
    • Close Task Manager.
    • On the Startup tab of System Configuration, select OK. When you restart the computer, it's in a clean boot environment.

Method 3. Restore default power options

    powercfg -restoredefaultschemes

    -Restart PC and check.

    Method 2. Run power Troubleshooter

    • Press Windows key + R then type:

    msdt.exe /id PowerDiagnostic

    • Click OK then follow the prompt to run the power troubleshooter

    -Restart the device after

Let me know how does it go and I hope that helps.
